MineShift
MineShift is a fully digitised (Mobile and Web) Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) compliance tool for mines that must comply with the MHSA TMM Regulations. With a sophisticated ecosystem of hardware and software components, thousands of data points are collected throughout a shift that provides decision-makers with all the necessary KPIs required for a successful mining operation. MineShift gives you access to quality data, increasing overall visibility on important errors and/or defects. Maintenance on mine vehicles can now be performed on a proactive basis, resulting in fewer vehicle breakdowns and onsite incidents.
OPERATOR RECOGNITION, LICENSE VALIDATION, AND MONITORING:
MineShift stores and manages operator license information and restrict the use of mobile machinery. Operators are required to start their shifts by tapping their NFC access card, scanning their fingerprints, or entering their employee number. The offline-capable MineShift tablet validates the operator’s license and checks whether they are authorized to use the current machine. The operator cannot proceed to the next step if they are unauthorized. Operator license information must be kept up to date and supervisors are notified when licenses are about to expire to ensure TMMs are not used with invalid licenses. MineShift can integrate with any existing system through its extensive REST API.
DYNAMIC PRE-USE CHECKLISTS AND BRAKE TESTS:
MinShift allows its users to create and update checklists online and assign checklists to specific machines. Specify which questions must trigger No Go events and which questions require photo evidence. Integrate your brake test hardware with the MineShift pre-use module to capture all data related to the safe use of the machine. Every check is timestamped, geolocated, and linked to the operator currently logged in, which ensures that a detailed and accurate audit trail is created for every machine, every shift.
INCIDENT REPORTING AND SOS:
Operators can report incidents to notify supervisors immediately. By undocking the MineShift MS HMI, the operator can capture detailed information in and out of the machine using photo evidence. Incidents are timestamped, geolocated, and linked to the operator currently logged in. An SOS button can be integrated with the control room emergency systems to enable quick response times and ensure the health and well-being of employees.
OPERATOR BEHAVIOUR MONITORING AND FATIGUE DETECTION:
The MineShift system provides complete monitoring of the operator’s use of the machine during their shift. Firstly, the machine operation is tracked, such as stops, starts, standing time, moving time, harsh acceleration, braking, cornering, impacts, and rollover detection. Secondly, the in-cab DMS camera monitors the operator’s alertness and will notify a supervisor if an unacceptable level of fatigue or distraction is detected. Abnormal or prohibited behavior such as smoking or using a cell phone is monitored constantly and the operator receives a voice prompt to correct their behavior. All behavior-tracking events are recorded, timestamped, geolocated, and linked to the operator currently logged in.
SURVEY IMAGERY OVERLAY AND ZONE GEOFENCING:
The MineShift site setup module enables site managers to overlay their latest survey imagery on a map with an intuitive drag-and-drop interface. They can then plot, name, group, and colour-code areas on the map for specific operational or production-related processes such as No Go zones, identifying stockpile positions and materials, or any other reason for triggering geofence-related events. Tracking movement across different areas is simple and effective when combining the MineShift real-time location tracking capabilities with geofencing.
COMPLIANCE ANALYTICS:
MineShift’s advanced analytics engine serves up insightful visualizations of your organization’s compliance data. Managers can set custom KPI alerts to ensure targets are always achieved by creating constant awareness without the need to manually view and analyze dashboards. Graph and table drill-down capabilities enable various levels of analysis such as site-wide, machine-type-wide, commodity-type-wide, and many more.
